For those of you in the congregation that are not a part of our Life Group or Sunday School class, I want to give you a word of encouragement to day from Isaiah 26:3.
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
At times like these that we’re experiencing now it’s easy for our minds to get off God and on our worries and all the news that we see and hear around us. The apostle Paul teaches us in Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
So now as our Jewish friends celebrate Passover and we as Christians celebrate Easter, let us remember that God protected his people from the angel of death because of the sacrificial blood on their doorposts, so let us be thankful this Easter weekend that we have the blood of Christ on the doorposts of our hearts. Our sins have been forgiven because of the price he paid for us. Our redemption has been sealed if we accept his gift to us.
