Galatians 5:22
fruit is
“Longsuffering” (Latin Vulgate, King James, American Standard)
“Patience” (English Standard, New International, Revised Standard)

Dr. David Jeremiah defines these two words as meaning “endurance,” or “perseverance”

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:12-14

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.Colossians 1:11-12

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.Hebrews 12:1-3

“When you get into a tight place, and everything goes against you till it seems as though you couldn’t hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that’s just the place and time that the tide’ll turn.”Harriet Beecher Stowe
