Christian Character Builder #7: Faithfulness
In his book, A Life Beyond Amazing,
Dr. David Jeremiah defines the spiritual fruit “Faithfulness” as “Integrity.”
Integrity: does our character (walk) match what we say we believe (talk)?
‘Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land…none except Caleb …and Joshua… , for they have wholly followed the LORD.’Numbers 32:11-12
Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!Psalm 139:23-24
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.Proverbs 11:3
If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”Daniel 3:17-18
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”1 Corinthians 15:33
What is the best way to develop Christian integrity? Accountability!
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.Hebrews 10:24-25
